Music is especially important in the third grade curriculum, both for reinforcing concepts and for praising God. Classes in music, art, physical education, computers and Spanish complement the core subjects.
The curriculum covers a variety of units including Ocean, Chumash, Medieval, History, Character Development, Poetry and Psalm 23. Students enjoy more and more literature as they read novels such as Snow Treasure and The Wind in the Willows.
Third grade highlights include Sea World, a Medieval Feast, Planetarium, Chumash Interpretive Center and a Poetry recital.
