First Grade

In first grade each child’s unique personality flourishes in our nurturing academic environment. Each child’s growing sense of confidence ensures they further develop language and writings skills through the use of Phonics Farm. Monthly literature units lead to the study of social studies, science and math with enrichment activities in the classroom and with the family.

Second grade

In second grade students are no longer learning to read but are reading to learn. Math and writing become tools for the exploration of the natural world they are already so curious about. An increased understanding of historical time enriches studies about families, communities and countries. A growing respect for others assists in relationship building and compassion.
